I am Demetrike (pronounced Duh-Me-Trick) Wells-O’Brien, your State Farm Insurance Agent for Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Dexter, Saline, Milan, Whitmore Lake, and surrounding areas.

Our talented and dedicated team is happy to serve you from our North Campus location in the Plymouth Road Mall next to Rite Aid.

I live in Ann Arbor with my husband, Patrick. We are active in the community. I proudly serve as the co-chair of the board of directors for Affirmations, the largest LGBTQ+ community center in Michigan.

I grew up wanting to belong to a profession that helps people, and I was lucky enough to find that opportunity by helping people protect themselves through insurance. For real. That’s the driving force behind the Demetrike Wells-O’Brien State Farm Agency. Helping our insureds by guiding them through the steps needed to protect the things and people they love is what we do every day. That’s what makes this place a really great fit for me. And as an Ann Arbor native, I know the ins and outs of living in this awesome community. I know when to avoid downtown (football Saturdays), and when and where to leap right into the vibrant, eclectic energy found around town. When I’m not working, you’ll probably see me at a local café enjoying a coffee and a good book. Or maybe I’ll be home constructing cardboard tunnels and mazes for my 6 guinea pigs. After all, guinea pigs could use a little help too.

I recently moved back to Ann Arbor after living in Metro Detroit for 10 years. It’s good to be home. When I’m not searching out new and exciting restaurants with my husband Anthony, I’m trying out new recipes in the kitchen. Anthony and I are the proud parents of our two cats Manny and Roy.

We love to travel. Past destinations include places like London, Napa, Palm Springs and Hilton Head.

Because Anthony is a lifelong Disney fan, we go to Disney World or Disneyland at least once a year. I learned very early in our relationship that the Mouse comes with the Spouse.

I moved here with my wife, Dani, while she attends UofM. Outside of work, we love spending time outdoors hiking or kayaking. On my own, I enjoy gardening and playing tabletop games like D&D. That's one of the reasons I'm so excited to be in Ann Arbor – there's a huge community here for any hobby you have!
